We Got Weather!

This is going to be a two part – er.

Going to anything Disney is a wonderous event. My cousin. Kathy, planned the flights, got the rooms, tickets for the different lands, just beautifully. And it all stopped there.

Late the night before we were due to leave , we found out the tickets have been reversed. Our friend, from San Diego, had been scheduled to fly out of LAX and my ticket said I was to leave from San Diego. Kathy called the travel agent at 11 pm, waited one hour, and at midnight the agent was able to work it out. With A LOT of string pulling.

Early the next AM, we met up at 5am for a 7am flight. There was a 45 minute wait at Starbucks and a 20 minute wait for the only drinking fountain in the area. The flight itself went smoothly ,clear skies, and just beautiful scenery but we sat on the tarmac for over 20 minutes, because of ‘weather’. A bumpy flight and we landed in Orlando.

Getting our car was a challenge. Scheduled for a Toyota, they tried to give us a very small Ford. We insisted and got a Camry.

Then it started raining, and raining and seriously Raining. We got lost getting out of the airport and thought we’d never get to our hotel. As the lead driver, I couldn’t see in front of me and depended on the lights of the car in front of me, ending up on a toll road. Exact change! We had No change, much less Exact! (I see bills in my future.) Driving in a hard rain, in a strange place, in a car I wasn’t familiar with! Exhausting.
